Charles Frederick Brooks. Master Gunner Brooks Enlisted at Great Yarmouth into the Royal Regiment of Artillery on the 11th February 1915 as a boy soldier. He was posted to Hong Kong in 1937 after service in Ireland (where he got married) Gibraltar and Malta. His first son Geoffrey was born in 1930 and second Ron in Malta on 6th August 1935. The family moved to Hong Kong in 1937 where Brooks served with 12th Coastal Regiment Royal Artillery. He was lost on the Lisbon Maru.
