Robert Curran. Gunner Robert David Curran joined up from Dingle Liverpool. He survived the battle of Hong Kong the Lisbon Maru and POW camps in Japan but wasn't comfortable with civilian life post war. He rejoined the army becoming RSM of his Regiment. He died young aged only 46 as a result of his treatment as a POW.
