Alan Harman. Bombardier Alan Stephen Harman 853853 served in the 7th Heavy Anti-Aircraft Battery of the 5th Anti Aircraft Regiment Royal Artillery. He was hospitalized during the fighting and survived shipment to Japan aboard the Lisbon Maru. Born in 1916 he enlisted in 1936. He married Vera Hamblin emigrated to Australia in 1952 and passed away in 1985. They had two children Robyn and Simon. Photo courtesy of Simon.
